SKYLINE BRITTANY CLUB |
LocationOur spring and fall field trials are held at the State of Colorado's South Republican State Wildlife Area (SRSWA) which is about 30 miles north and east of Burlington, Colorado on the Colorado/Kansas border. The SRSWA offers us a variety of courses to choose from. The west course is typically used for Puppy, Derby and both All-Age stakes and the east course is used for our Gun Dog stakes. Courses can be varied to meet the needs of the events we are running. Premium, Bracings & ResultsYou can find the premium, bracing sheets and results of all our trials posted at http://www.fieldtrialnews.com by checking the calendar of events. RecapJeff Hoskins, Skyline's 1st VP pulled together another great trial. While smaller than usual, most everyone had a good time and the trial ran reasonably smoothly dispite a mishap. We had a competitive field, some hard working judges and club members that helped keep things running, while handling an unfortunate accident. Margo Bailey, one of our judges in the Open Gun Dog stake, had an equestrian accident and we had to halt the stake while we got her stabilized and finally transported back to where the ambulance was waiting and into the hospital. This is a pretty difficult to get a vehicle into where she went down and thank goodness that one of our club members is a registered nurse and was able to help out. Margo will be OK but the trip back to Nebraska was not a pleasant one. John Moreland took over her judging duties and the trial went on without further incident.
